It also has a very competitive price, giving you features, design and performance for a lot less money. Unfortunately it is not available in many countries, so if you have trouble getting it, you should look at the Dell XPS 13 (below).

4. Apple Macbook Pro with Touch Bar 13-inch 2018
The best Macbook Pro ever, improved for 2018

The best Macbook Pro ever

Super fast performance

Expensive

No huge generation jump

If you're looking for the latest and greatest Apple laptop, we encourage you to watch the 2018 model of the 13-inch Macbook Pro with Touch Bar. Although Microsoft had the performance over last year's MacBook Pro with the Surface Book 2, Apple has come up with some heavier specs for the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2018, and even more if you opt for the larger 15-inch inch model. The head Touch Bar - a thin OLED display at the top of the keyboard that can be used for a number of things, be it words automatically as you type or offer Touch ID so you can log in with just your fingerprint - is included again. It certainly kept the feel for Apple's style, but there is a price tag attached to it. This is an expensive machine, so you may want to consider one of the Windows alternatives. If you are open to switch to a PC, you should definitely consider the XPS 13 or the excellent MateBook X Pro. But if you are a steadfast Apple diehard, this is definitely the best laptop for you!

Although you might have been convinced that & # 39; budget-ultrabook & # 39; up to this point was a contradiction in terms, the Acer has turned this general misconception on its head with the Swift 3. Which type of laptop is best for you?
General laptops: Value best cheap laptops found, devices that are more practical than style, portability or power. That does not mean that they can not be fast, but usually you will find a non-Ultrabook clamshell laptop with an HD screen and a spinning drive-based storage for under $ 600 or £ 400.

ultrabooks: Where do you find thin and light notebooks with sporty SSD storage and resolutions that are larger than 1080p. Combined with powerful, albeit mobile oriented components and, in particular, a long battery life best Ultrabooks costs a pretty penny - $ 700 or £ 500 to $ 2000 or £ 1800.

2-in-1 laptops: Where notebooks that double as tablets are located. The Surface Book 2 is perhaps a way to turn offbut a lot of the best 2-in-1 laptops are now available. Equipped with both detachable and 360-degree pivoting hinges, these hybrids are the most versatile way to experience Windows 10 (or Chrome OS) on a touch screen.

Chromebooks: Where do you find the best Chromebooks with Chrome OS. These do a lot of what Windows and macOS can do in the browser, focused on cloud storage via local, while recently support for Android apps was obtained for touchscreen models. They generally cost less than $ 300 or £ 200 and some can even stand a light struggle.

Gaming laptops: Do you need a laptop to play games (almost) just like a glossy desktop PC can? Then you want one of the best gaming laptops. These machines generally cost from $ 800 or £ 600 to more than $ 3,000 or £ 2,800 and they will likely be the ones that benefit from AMD & # 39; s Ryzen laptop-quality processors first.

Laptop tablet hybrids: Designed with the tablet-first approach of hybrids for laptop tablets, the best Windows tablets pack over-HD touchscreens, sometimes with kickstands in their list or delivered via keyboard covers. They generally shine with a stylus and vary from budget to premium price ranges.
