It's been 10 years since Android was first announced and at that time we've seen hundreds of thousands of games in the Google Play Store, but of course they are not all of high quality and with so much available, it can be difficult to make sure you put your money in the right place.

Some titles are expensive and nothing more than bad ports of a console game. Others are just a meager amount, but are really more fun and more engaging than anything that was found on a console a few years ago.

When deciding which Android game suits you best, you ... need to consider a few choices.

First, remember that you will never have one game at a time. Maybe you have a title that's great to play on the couch or to commute, and one if you're in line at the bank.

Some work better with headphones, others do not - and we strongly encourage you to play a few regularly to find the games that work best for you. Nothing more fun than finding something that you just can not wait to play again and again!

Unlike the iPhone, the number of special game controls for Android phones is a bit more boring, because there are not that many for specific phone models ... and the games that support them can also be varied.

That does not mean that you do not have to look carefully at what is there, and that many regulators are not overly expensive.

Back to the games: think about the different titles to check out, whether you want something that you charge, a fiery madness or an RPG that you can play with friends locally.

That's why we're here - we tell you the games you have to play because we've tried them ourselves. We go through the new and bubbling lists of titles every week, see what is good and let you know.

We try to keep this list as fresh as possible, so if your favorite is from the card, it's not a bad game ... there's just more to try.

So get ready to click through our gallery ... we guarantee that you have found something to play before you know it.

New: Implosion - Never Lose Hope (free + US $ 9.99 / £ 9.99 / AU $ 14.99)

Implosion believes that the earth has been beaten by annoying alien beings, making people on the verge of extinction. Because this is a video game, people have all their hopes on you and your wetty battlesuit.

Fortunately, the suit can cause serious damage. As you stutter over the shiny surroundings of Implosion, slash and orbit you make your way through hordes of identikit alien drones. Occasional boss battles then shake things up in terms of pace and challenge. Between levels, adjust your suit to unlock new combos.

The makers of the game call Implosion an AAA-console-like title and it looks great and feels the part. Even the complex control elements (for a touch screen game) work well. A bottleneck for some may be the price, but you can play six missions for nothing. If you do not lose sight of a one-time IAP for a premium title, then do not ask yourself why we can not do fun things.
